Qualifications
● Master/PhD degree in a quantitative field like Mathematics, Statistics, Computer
Science, Engineering, or related fields.
● Good working knowledge of SQL language for data extraction;
● Good working knowledge of a wide range of machine-learning methods and algorithms
for classification, regression, clustering, and others – a must;
● Good Statistical analysis, e.g. hypothesis testing, estimation theory, and mathematical
skills;
● Expert knowledge in at least one modeling language: R, Python;
● Experience dealing with end-to-end machine learning projects: data exploration, feature
engineering/definition, model building, performance evaluation, and help in
implementation;
● Strong focus on cloud computing;
● Published several white papers;
● Hacker spirit – “can do attitude”. Not afraid of “stack overflow”.
Roles and responsibilities include:
• Data mining or extracting usable data from valuable data sources
• Using machine learning tools to select features, create and optimize classifiers
• Carrying out the preprocessing of structured and unstructured data
• Enhancing data collection procedures to include all relevant information for developing analytic
systems
• Processing, cleansing, and validating the integrity of data to be used for analysis
• Analyzing large amounts of information to find patterns and solutions
• Developing prediction systems and machine learning algorithms
• Presenting results in a clear manner
• Propose solutions and strategies to tackle b
